Back during the USA Presidential elections of 2020, Pornhub produced a list of the most common porn search terms by state.
Apparently, 'Big Booty' was the most popular in Alabama, Idaho was after an orgy, while down in Georgia, they were after a good tickle. Massachusetts was less surprising, with their top search being for 'College', Wisconsin tied itself up looking for bondage, and Florida went for a new and worrying fetish with 'Trump.' Alaska missed the point, searching for 'No Nut November', and poor old Mississippi couldn't have had a good time looking for a typo, 'Pron.' Incidentally, Mississippi is also the state that stays online the longest when searching for porn. Now we know why.
Joking aside, this entertaining piece highlighted the question, what are the most popular search terms used by people looking for porn? The next question is, How do you find out? The answer is simple, you run an internet search for the most popular porn searches in 2021, and this is what you discover.
In July 2021, a YouTube channel simply called 'Porn' released a video showing the most popular porn searches for the first half of the year. We're not sure where they gleaned their information, but it makes for interesting viewing, because the results were these:
'Japanese' was the number one search term on Pornhub in 2018, but, as we can see, slipped down the rankings to fourth. This may well be because Japanese porn is often censored at source, and who wants to see pixilated pussy? The country with the running record for staying on a porn site the longest in any one visit is Thailand, where the average visit to an adult site lasts for 11 minutes and 12 seconds. However, the country that saw the most porn traffic (in 2019) was America, so here are some statistics that relate solely to the USA.
According to Webroot.com, there are 28,258 Americans watching porn on the net every single second, and 372 people are using 'adult' as a search term. Every day, 68 million porn-related search queries are made, and 2.5 billion emails with porn content are sent or received. Another interesting statistic is that one in five mobile searches is for pornography. There's no doubt that online porn is a big thing. Out of the top 300 sites worldwide, 11 of them are porn sites, and 25% of all internet searches relate to porn.

Searching for porn by category is one thing, searching for a particular star is another. According to one survey, the top three most searched for pornstars looks like this:

It's not surprising to find that porn in some form features on the list of the top 20 most searched queries on Google. Looking at a list for the 2021 results [seohustlers.com] you expect to find things like YouTube and Facebook at the top of the list, but porn is not far behind, with Pornhub coming in at number seven, XVideos, at number 13, followed by Xnxx.com and 14. Top Gay Porn Searches
Here's an interesting flip-flop (to use a gay porn search term). Looking at the world of gay porn, it may or may not surprise you to learn that the countries that have the highest intolerance of gay people also return the highest number of surfers looking for gay porn. Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Pakistan and India were the top five (in 2016), while the USA, UK and Canada don't appear until eight, nine and ten, and that's with the USA having the highest number of porn searches on the planet.
The top searches in the gay porn world are similar to those of the straight world. 'Free gay porn' and variations of those three words are always top of the list, because we all want something for nothing. That said, back in 2016, Pornhub released its statistics for the top gay porn search terms in the UK and USA. The UK's favourite then, and possibly now, was 'straight first time', followed by 'straight' and then 'straight friend', which suggests Brits have a longing to pop str8 cherries. Across the pond in the USA, 'straight first time' was also number one, but closely followed by 'big black dick' and 'black.' Where 'locker room' was at number 20 in America, in Britain, 'public toilet' was at number seven, and where the Britts ranked themselves, 'British', at number five, 'American' didn't even show up in the USA top twenty.
So What About 2021?
Will lesbian still top the charts when this year's stats come out? Will Mia Malkova hold on to her number one spot, and will straight men continue to tantalise the gay porn world? We'll have to wait and see. We are approaching the end of the year, so it's still too early to say what will be the most used search term when looking for porn, but if previous years are anything to go by, you can bet 'free' will be in there somewhere.
