Brazzers is a Canadian porn company that was launched in October 2005 and has grown to encompass over 30 channels of pornstar-based hardcore pornography. It has its legal domicile in Nicosia, Cyprus, but its headquarters are based in Montreal, Quebec, and it is now a MindGeek company. It shoots most of its content in America, in Las Vegas, San Antonio, Los Angeles and Miami, and is consistently ranked as one of the top 500 most-viewed websites on the net. Brazzers takes as its slogan 'The World's Best Porn Site', and thousands of members probably agree.
The original company behind Brazzers, Mansef was created by two Concordia University graduates Stephane and Ouissam in 2004. The two friends who first got to know each other playing competitive foosball started off building some TGP's (Thumbnail Gallery Post) not knowing what they were starting would someday become the biggest porn company the world has ever known.
The word 'Brazzer' is said to be an Irish slang word for a prostitute, a derivation of the word brazen, which means to be bold and without shame. [1] But the truth is that Stephane spoke with a strong accent and every time he said Brother (as he did often) it sounded like Brazzer, and that is how the legend was born.
Brazzers History
Brazzers was founded in 2005 by a group of investors based in Montreal, Canada, and was listed under the corporate name, Mansef. It started life as a 'big titty' style porn site, but very quickly grew.
In 2008, Brazzers created the Mofos Network to offer harder-edged porn. Mofos uses less experienced girls who are relatively unknown in the industry, and their videos offer simpler storylines than the usual Brazzers brand. The company continued to grow and receive attention, and not just within the adult entertainment industry. For example, MTV's show, True Life, featured Brazzers in 2009, when they shadowed porn star Jayden Jaymes at the AVN awards, and showed her meeting fans at the Brazzers booth.
In 2010, Mansef was sold to German businessman, Fabian Thylman, managing partner of the pornographic conglomerate, Manwin. Thylman was extradited from Belgium to Germany in December 2012 on suspicion of tax evasion, and in 2013, he sold Manwin's assets, including Brazzers, to the internal management group, MindGeek. This was headed by Thylman, along with David Tassilo.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Brazzers took out a billboard advert in Times Square, New York, for the entire month of August.
Brazzers takes its online presence seriously. They have strict parental control standards and use the ICRA labelling system, ICRA being part of the Family Online Safety Institute. In other words, Brazzers regulates its site to prevent children from accessing their adult content. It also instigated an anti-piracy campaign in 2009, but it hasn't always been plain sailing. Producer, Bobby Manila, charged Brazzers with a lawsuit for violation of contract after they fired him (the matter was settled out of court), and in 2010, Pink Visual Studios accused Brazzers' parent company of copyright infringement. Despite such things, the site and network have gone from strength to strength.
Brazzers Sites and Content
Brazzers is known for its use of well-known pornstars, the quality of its productions and for mixing in a fair amount of humour. By 2022, their total number of scenes stood at nearly 10,000, with much new content being produced in 4K HD. They also host an equal number of photo galleries, have branched into virtual reality porn, and the network continues to add new content regularly.
Their collection of sites (also referred to as channels) include some famous titles such as Big Tits at School, Mommy Got Boobs and Big Tits at Work, sites which hark back to their founding principles of big boob and Milf porn. They have diversified over the years, and now we see sites such as Teens Like it Big for young adult porn, and Milfs Like it Big for mature lady and big-dick porn.
